I do not have this plane, but I have a DAW 1-26 HLG (1.5 meter hand-launch-glider) that I love. For those who want to get a 2-meter 1-26, which will make a good combination slope/thermal 2-meter plane, Jeff Reid has provided the following helpful information.

IMHO, the DAW 1-26 2m thermals about the same as an aileron version of the
Mad Highlander. Wingloading for the 1-26 2m is only 6.5% more than the
Highlander at the same weight for both, so sink rate should only 3.2% more
(square root of 1.065 minus 1.000). The 2m has a solid balsa tail which may mean
less drag (thinner and won't warp over time).
The 1-26 2m rolls quicker, making it more aerobatic. My experience is that setup with just a hint of positive stability (CG back a bit), the glide ratio is very good on the 1-26 2m (everyone at work is impressed with it).
The wing slot configuration of the DAW models allows the wing to move making it a bit more crash resistant than a bolted on wing. I once got mid aired at a wingtip and landed with no damage (it was the only time I've seen the 1-26 do a true flat spin, rotated about 2.5 times before recovering) straightened out the wing and continued flying.
I also just recently found out that my 1-26 2m is very responsive to camber (it may be that the wings weren't setup with enough undercamber when built). I setup my Futaba T6XA to add about 5 degrees of camber with the air brake switch (I use throttle stick for spoileons). The effect of the camber is very visible at a slope site with light winds. Usually causes the model to climb an extra 20 to 50 feet, and on very light days, is the difference between staying at the ridge instead of sinking down below.
Neither the 1-26 HLG or 2m have the penetration (weight to drag ratio) of a contest model, but the 2m, at almost twice the weight of the HLG and only 20% more wing span, does carry it's speed better, allowing for bigger aerobatic maneuevers. On the other hand, the HLG's lower weight to drag ratio limits it's maximum speed, and probably makes it more crash proof.
Electronics: Futaba R127DF receiver, 4 cell Sanyo 1100AAU receiver pack, 4 HS85MG servos. The servos and my near neutral CG setup are probably why my 1-26 is <= 36 ounces.
Weight: 36 ounces (could be 35.5, I've taped an extra 1/4 ounce tape on fuse behind wing, when I next dig into nose, I'll pull out a 1/4 ounce weight and remove the taped on weight). I've moved the CG back to leave it with just a hint of positive pitch stability. Still this is under 9.5 oz / ft^2 wing loading.
